2014 Volvo S60 Announced to Hit Geneva

2014 Volvo S60 was just announced to be released at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Although, it seems that this car’s release date hasn’t been announced to date, the company is pretty generous to deploy the images of the car online. One thing for sure, the upcoming S60 received a stunning facelift, creating a more distinct look compared to the last year’s lineup.

On the architectural aspect, the 2014 Volvo S60’s facelift consists of a newly redesigned front fascia, retouched headlamps, a larger chromed grille, and at last, a more luxury saloon-based appearance. Lex Kerssemakers stated, “2014 Volvo S60 is the most extensive development of existing models in our company’s history.” However, it’s only the front end that seems to be remodeled, apart from that part, there’so major, important revision on the exterior design. The 2014 Volvo S60’s exterior design takes inspiration of the upcoming S80 and XC60. It can viewed from the front end’s headlights and the grille.

On the inside, the saloon-oriented luxury atmosphere simply welcomes us. Black premium leather upholstery ,enriched with veneer wood trim wrap almost all of the cabin, spanning the seats, steering wheel, dashboard, and glove box. Attached on the center console, a 7.0-inch multi-function display housing Sensus infotainment that provides full internet utilities.Unfortunately, there’s no official specification on the powertrain of the 2014 Volvo S60. However, there’s a possibility that it will bring the 2014 V60’s 2.4-liter five-cylinder diesel engine enabling reach 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. The 2014 Volvo S60 offers an option of four chassis; Touring, Dynamic, Four-C, and Lower Sport, allowing the driver to adjust their personal desire in experiencing the ride on this car.
