Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series will absolutely be one of the 2014 most-talked, long-awaited upcoming cars. After succesfully stunned public with the C63 AMG Black Series in the 2012 L.A. Auto Show, the high profile German automaker, Mercedes-Benz, is ready to keep continuing their awesomeness represented by the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series. The SLS AMG is the next generation of the wholly-owned Mercedes-AMG of Daimler AG, after giving birth to many amazing cars. The upcoming SLS AMG is claimed to be lighter than its C63 predecessor.
The exterior design formula of all the Mercedes-AMG’s products, very low, aggresive looks, higher level of performance, and also more use of carbon fibre inside out. The better aerodynamics might be the thing that the designers always kept in their minds while designing the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series. Because, the carbon fibre, which is major material for the car, is incorporated here and there, like in the front and rear fascia, and the GT3-inspired air inlets. All of those innovations, especially the GT3’s air inlets, drastically improved the car’s aaerodynamics.
On the inside, to reduce the car’s weight, there is no longer COMAND infotainment, replaced by the plain appearance of the dashboard. To further pamper both driver and passenger, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series’ cabin offers the premium 100-watt, 11-speaker Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG sound system.
Hidden in the heart of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, an AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed transmission generating 622 hp at 7400 rpm and 468 lb-ft of torque at 5500 rpm is good to launch the car from 0-60 mph in only 3.6 seconds with the top speed up to 195mph.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series was already unveiled at the 2012 L.A. Auto Show, and will start to be sold in Middle of 2013 with the price around $325,000.
