2014 McLaren P1, a new car luxury sports for McLaren unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, McLaren P1, hybrid extra performance of the house in Woking. Even in this case the power and performance are the result of high technology: the supercar mounts a hybrid engine capable of developing 916 horsepower and 900 Newton meters of torque which means be able to reach a maximum speed of 385 km / h with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 3 seconds.
Mind-boggling numbers and performance by Formula 1 and it is from the world of professional racing that the new model has taken inspiration. It is in fact the central air intake above the roof of the car as the KERS system that recovers the energy used during braking and acceleration to use in that acceleration. From MP4 was resumed the frame made in a single piece carbon fiber, a material that allows it to combine strength and lightness.
Performance and luxury green as with the electric motor McLaren P1 for 10km guarantees zero emissions, recharging the batteries during braking and accelerator is released: in the combined cycle CO2 emissions will be only 200gr/km.
The interiors have taken the philosophy of the MP4-12C bringing minimalism to the extreme: all commands are digitized, while doors and center console are made of carbon fiber, with alcantara to cover the interior. The seats, for example have a structure of carbon fiber with light padding and are covered in leather and alcantara with orange details in contrast to the total black.
